A Newly Finished Quilt Top

For my latest HARMONY. do. good. stitches. queen bee month, I chose the Simply Woven block from Moda Bakeshop. I had a friend that had made this quilt at a retreat with the Chickopee line and it came together so quickly. I try to be nice with the blocks I give, well sometimes... and I thought this would be a good one to do with tons of different fabrics too.

I chose to go with red, orange, and yellow as my color scheme that way either a boy or a girl can use it. After a mishap with the postal service and my sweet bee mate remaking her blocks, I have now got a finished top that I am planning on quilting this next week.

HARMONY. do. good. stitches. - Finished Top

I have no idea what I am going to use for the back. I might need to make a goodwill trip and get some sheet to stock up on for backs, I have several quilt tops that need to be quilted and now that I am slowly but surely getting over my machine quilting phobia I think I should tackle them and finish them up. But I need some backing fabric!

I'll keep you updated on this one, I think I'm going to do something like this since it has a very linear design that I can follow and learn this deisng with.

I've never done that one before but have been eyeing it so we will see how it turns out! Thanks for visiting!
