The awesome thing is that you don't even realize you are doing it after awhile and you are making progress on another project at the same time you are working on your current one. I bought a 2in square die for my accuquilt this weekend and went about cutting hundreds of squares so that I could start my own leader/ender project.
This is what I had after about an hour of sewing. I have about 4 times that now, after only one day!!
Raccoon Creek Quilts is also having a leader ender challenge this month, so join in here if you are interested!
My quilt guild also is doing a Pizza Box challenge. Each month we get a box with a block we need to make, and at the end we get our own box back with 12 blocks made by 12 different people. This month was a paper pieced block. I was doing so well at paper piecing back in the summer and was becoming fearless, but I had a really big oops block and it scared me and haven't paper pieced since.
With all the awesome paper piecing quilt alongs going on that I am dying to join but too scared to, this was the perfect way to force me into it again. This is what the quilt will look like:
And here is my block. She asked for us to do the "C" shape, following the lights/darks in the picture.
I also am working on an iPad cover tutorial. I made a test one yesterday and it came up about 1/2in too short, so I have made the adjustments and hopefully will make it tomorrow and get the tutorial up some time next week.
